New beacons for the neighborhood’s original beacon—the library. The library construction has passed its one year mark and we are well on our way to completion. The crucial drainage and foundation work is done—and should ensure that we stay snug and dry inside despite the winter rains. Outside, beautiful lampposts have made a stately appearance on the front plaza signaling a vibrant new space in the neighborhood.

Hi,

My name is Eloise. I'm a reporter with KALW public radio 91.7. And I'm working on a story about libraries in San Francisco. I want to throw this question out to the people that follow this blog. Obviously, you like going to the library. What have you missed about the Bernal Heights branch library since it closed for renovation? What has happened to your community since it closed for renovation? Please email me equintanilla@npr.com. I would love to hear from you!
